    ACA - Individual Mandate

presented by: Chris Petrillose, Perry & Carroll, Inc

Chris is a Senior Account Executive who specializes in the Individual Healthcare Marketplace, Medicare, and Group Employee Benefits. Chris graduated from Mercyhurst University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, and from Elmira College with a Master’s degree in Health Administration

A key provision of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the Individual Mandate. The ACA requires most individuals to obtain acceptable health insurance coverage for themselves and their family members, or pay a penalty.

Complying with the ACA has been extremely challenging for employers. However, the Individual Mandate provision of the ACA does provide employers with a unique opportunity to engage with those employees who are ineligible for their employer-sponsored health insurance.

As we all know, employing part-time, seasonal, substitute, and per diem employees is critical to our ability to adequately staff our organizations, yet this important segment of our workforce often feels disenfranchised in the area of benefits.

This workshop will help you understand how you can include this segment of your workforce in your benefits communications and annual open enrollment process.
